EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES AUDIT
Our Labor and Employment Law Practice Group believes that many employers, particularly small to mid-size employers, struggle to keep pace with the proliferation of obligations under state and federal employment regulations and statutes, and the evolution of common law claims and liabilities arising out of the employment relationship. Unfortunately for many employers, they are simply too busy or too daunted by the task until their compliance deficiencies are exposed by litigation.
Bailey Cavalieri LLC's Employment Practices Compliance Review is a cost effective "first step" in a proactive loss prevention program which may significantly reduce the risk of employment-related liability. While this program may be tailored to address the needs of any employer, we normally recommend a phased approach. The first phase consists of the client's completion of a self-assessment questionnaire addressing the client's past and current employment practices and documentation. There is no cost for this phase of the program. The second phase involves an interview of the client by one of our experienced labor and employment attorneys focusing on the responses to the assessment. After the interview, we provide a written summary of the self-assessment and interview highlighting risk areas the client should further investigate, as well as specific recommendations to reduce the client's risk of employment-related liability.
A small fixed fee is charged for the second phase, depending upon the number of employees employed by the client. If the client chooses to further investigate highlighted risk areas or desires assistance in implementing recommendations, applicable fees and costs will be discussed before any additional work is commenced.
